Safety

Identifying members' needs to help them have safer worksites is another significant Association activity.

BCA sponsors quarterly Safety Directors Forums. These forums present timely topics relevant to safety professionals and aim to help them create safe work environments on their employers’ jobsites. First Aid-CPR, OSHA 10- and 30-Hour Construction Courses, and Excavation Competent Person training are in high demand and are offered regularly to BCA members. Other in-depth training courses are offered based on member requests and needs.

New Member Benefit: BCA Safety Consulting Affinity Program

New in 2024, BCA Safety Committee is partnering with Timber Walk LLC to provide a value-added service to all BCA-member contractors. This service offers limited free access to safety phone support via Timber Walk LLC, along with discounted rates for on-site consultations, program development, safety management services, and training.

  • The consultant will provide expert construction safety advice and or consultation to members of the BCA by phone or email – up to a maximum of 1 hour per contact or consult at no charge.

  • Each BCA member company will be limited to a maximum of 5 contacts. Further needs will be arranged independently between that company and Timber Walk.

  • Phone calls and emails will be responded to as quickly as possible. The maximum response time for any call or email is one business day.

  • Any in-depth consultations requiring more than one hour of attention will be arranged independently between the member company and Timber Walk LLC. This includes but is not limited to, program reviews, policy writing assistance, personnel assistance, safety training, and project and/or office visits. These independent consultations will be arranged with a 10% discount for all active and current BCA member companies.
