Safety Awards




BCA proudly announces winners of its 2008 Safety Excellence Awards. These awards honor northeast Indiana building contractors and individuals who demonstrated outstanding performance in promoting worker safety on construction jobsites in 2007.


The highest award, Zero Lost-Time, rewards companies whose employees experienced no injuries or illnesses serious enough to cause them to miss a day's work. The second award, Top in Category, rewards companies with the best performance record in their class. The 25% Better Than National Recordables Average is given to companies not qualifying for other awards, but whose employees experienced 25% less injuries and illnesses than contractors averaged nationally. The Supervisor Safety Award recognizes individuals who serve as a role model in safety attitude and exemplify outstanding commitment to promoting worker safety in their careers.


The BCA and its Safety Committee are dedicated to the pursuit of safety excellence and would like to recognize member companies with outstanding safety programs.
