Understanding the impact of employment laws when working with employees can be both challenging and confusing. Most company policies are based on federal or state laws. The enforcement and interpretation of policies need to be consistent and fair. This becomes complicated when supervisory personnel does not understand the basic laws and the importance of communicating employment matters of the employees they supervise to their Human Resource managers. This workshop will provide an overview of several critical laws, including:
